Adding and Configuring Staff Accounts
As an administrator, you can add and manage user accounts for all of your clinic staff. This guide will show you how to create a new user and configure the most important settings based on their role.
Adding a New User

From the main menu, navigate to Admin > Users. This will open the user management screen.

Click the Add New User button.

On the "Add User" screen, fill out the basic information:

Username: Create a unique username for the staff member.

Password: Set an initial password. The user can change this after their first login.

Full Name: Enter the user's full name.

Configuring Common User Types
The most critical step is assigning the correct role and filling in role-specific information.
1. For Providers (Physicians, NPs, PAs): Providers require specific information for billing and prescriptions.

Access Control Group: Select
Physicianor a similar provider role. -
NPI: Enter their National Provider Identifier. This is essential for billing.

Taxonomy: Enter their Health Care Provider Taxonomy Code to classify their specialty for insurance claims.

Is Provider: Ensure this box is checked.

Supervising Provider: If this provider requires supervision, select their supervising provider from the list.
2. For Clinical Staff (Nurses, MAs): Clinical staff need access to patient charts and clinical modules.

Access Control Group: Select
Clinician. This role typically grants access to patient encounters, vitals, and messaging, but restricts access to administrative and billing functions.
3. For Front Office Staff: Front office staff primarily handle scheduling and patient demographics.

Access Control Group: Select
Front Office. This role is focused on the calendar, patient registration, and managing appointments.
4. For Accounting Staff: Accounting staff need access to financial information and claim processing tools.

Access Control Group: Select
Accounting. This role provides access to the fee sheet, billing manager, and accounts receivable, while often restricting access to clinical charting.
After configuring the user based on their role, click the Save button to create the account.
