Managing Patient Health Records
A patient's dashboard serves as a central hub for their most important clinical information. This guide will show you how to manage the key sections of a patient's health record, including their medical problems, medications, allergies, and immunizations.
Accessing the Patient's Health Record
All of these sections are managed directly from the patient's main dashboard, which is the first screen you see after opening their chart.
Managing Key Sections
On the patient's dashboard, you will see several boxes or widgets, each dedicated to a specific part of their health record.
-
Medical Problems: This is the patient's problem list. To add a new diagnosis, click the pencil icon, search for the appropriate ICD-10 code or diagnosis, and add it to their list.
-
Medications: This section lists the patient's current medications. Click the pencil icon to prescribe a new medication or document one the patient is already taking.
-
Allergies: Use this section to document any patient allergies. Click the pencil icon to enter the allergen and the reaction.
-
Immunizations: This section tracks the patient's vaccination history. Click the pencil icon to enter a new immunization, including the type of vaccine and the date it was administered.
For each of these sections, you can also click on existing entries to edit or deactivate them as the patient's condition changes.
